"You Don't Have to See it to Hit It"

Empowering blind and visually impaired golfers in the Triangle area through coaching, guided play, and community.

From Personal Challenge to Community Impact

James Davis, Founder and President

Golf did not end when James Davis began losing his sight. It evolved.

As Founder and President of the Triangle Blind Golfers Association, James transformed his personal journey into a mission to create access, belonging, and opportunity for blind and visually impaired golfers across the Triangle.

Today, that vision continues to guide everything we do, on and off the course.

Accessible Golf. Real Community. Lasting Confidence.

The Triangle Blind Golfers Association creates opportunities for blind and low-vision individuals to experience the game of golf in a supportive, inclusive environment. Due to the hands-on nature of our program and the need for individualized on-course assistance, golf participation spaces are limited. Through guided instruction, on-course support, and a welcoming community, we make golf accessible regardless of vision level or experience. Whether someone is new to the game or returning to a lifelong passion, our program focuses on confidence, independence, and meaningful connection.

Guided Golf Instruction

Blind and visually impaired golfers receive hands-on instruction with the support of trained sighted guides. From stance and alignment to distance awareness and putting, we focus on building skills that translate to real confidence on the course.

Impact That Matters

Every golfer’s journey with the Triangle Blind Golfers Association is different, but the impact is shared. For many, golf becomes a way to rebuild confidence, regain independence, and reconnect with something they love or discover something new. Through patience, encouragement, and community, golfers find that the course is not a barrier, but a place of possibility.
